Hey, a postmortem!

Hey, Don't Touch That! Was built during the Trijam #308 game jam. Theme: Camp site fire
This project was developed by two people and a total development time of 3 hours.
Synopsis:
Being a camp counsellor is tough, especially when lunchtime rolls around, and little Timmy thinks touching the campfire is brilliant.
Your mission? Prepare lunch while keeping Timmy out of danger. Can you get everything chopped and cooked without a little Timmy casualty?
Despite the short time frame, we could add the core loop in its entirety.
This game's core loop consists of:
1. Look out for Timmy
2. Shoo little Timmy away
3. Chop up the food and put it into the pot.
However, Although we could add the core loop and some art, we sacrificed the audio and weren't able to get any in.
The game has minimal UI except for the list of instructions. In the future, I would like to ensure the items get crossed out as a task is completed. Something else we should have allocated some time for was time to add "juice" to the game, such as adding outlines for items when you hover over them or a more obvious reaction when Timmy gets close to the fire to signify danger.
There are a limited number of things you can practically do during a 3 hour game jam, but I think if there had been a bit more planning around user interaction when drawing the sprites, it would have taken a few minutes at most to make them.
Hey, Don't Touch That!
Being an adult is hard enough without little Timmy putting himself in harm's way.
